- What did you do this past week?
This past week I mainly took it easy while also preparing just a little bit for all my final exams and final projects that I have in this upcoming week. I also worked a lot on my research project, BEAT, it’s a software tool to help bioinformatics researchers deal with technical variation in their data. It’s a very exciting project, and I’m excited to share it with the world.
2. What’s in your way?
Honestly at this point I just need to tie up all the loose ends at school. That means getting through these final exams and final projects before I can go back to doing what I want to do. There’s not much to do in terms of the software engineering project so that’s nice I suppose.
3. What will you do next week?
Next week once I’m finished with all my exams and projects I will probably do some soul searching. There’s also this dude named Viper the Rapper who I’ve been kind of obsessed with for this past month. He’s this strange dude who has put out over 1,500 albums and he’s really strange. I will probably do an investigative journalism piece on him for my personal website.
4. What was your experience of the presentations? (this question will vary, week to week)
Everybody’s presentation seemed fine. They seemed to do a decent job presenting which is what I would expect I suppose. I know everybody worked hard on their website so I was expecting good websites but I dind’t expect the presentations to be anything special to be quite honest.
5. What made you happy this week?
This week I’ve been putting up the work around 7 pm to relax with my girlfriend. Sometimes we’ll cook together and drink a glass of wine. I also have been playing the game Celeste lately and it’s really fun. It sounds strange but a lot of times video games will stress me out and I can only play them for a certain period of time before I get too tired and have to put them down. Celeste is different I can play it for long periods of time before I get tired of it.
6. What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?
My pick of the week would be Viper the Rapper. This dude basically invented cloud rap and was an early precursor to vaporwave if you’re familiar with that. Listen to “You Gon Die,” “My Hops,” “I gots to ball,” or “You’ll Cowards Don’t even Smoke Crack.”
